Using fabric, found materials, thread, photos printed on silk, we will make an object to honor a family member or ancestor. Janet will walk students through the process of transferring images onto silk which can become another element of this remembrance piece.

Participants will discover creative ways of honoring those family members who have come before us and will remember the deep roots that connect us to who we are.

Basic embroidery skills will also be covered.
No sewing or stitching experience is necessary.
