In this Multicultural Art class, students will discuss and explore the topics of diversity, racism and inclusion. Students will be introduced to non-western religions and art making techniques followed by art projects and discussions to share our thoughts and ideas.
In the Spring session of this course, Students will learn about ancient and contemporary art in East, South Asia, and Middle East and will be introduced to Islamic and Buddhism art and their basic theories. The purpose of this class is to encourage students to see and appreciate the diversity and beauty of different traditions in the world.
This course is tuition free, with support from the Shelburne Social Services Committee. Students will pay only for their materials and we ask, if you are able, to make a donation to The Vermont Professionals of Color Network (below under "links").
