Kat Lawlis is an artist and art educator. She was raised in Charlotte, Vermont and educated in Painting at Rhode Island School of Design and Teaching at Lewis and Clark College.
Portland, Oregon was her home for the past decade. She now resides in Burlington, Vermont.
Kat has 8+ years of experience as an art educator in alternative high schools and youth education programs. She is excited to share her knowledge of block printing and to celebrate the joy of art making with the Craft School team & community.
Her current projects include painting on canvas & wood panel as well as works on paper using linoleum block printing, goauche, and sumi ink. Her artworks are composed of mantras and hand printed/drawn patterns to create visual poems.
