Tapestry 2 is the natural continuation from Introduction to Tapestry Weaving for those who want to learn about and practice with other weavers how to do things like: weave circles, ovals and curves, achieve gradations in color, weave separate areas of a piece, vertical outlining, transparency effects.
In this two-part workshop, we will use a cartoon designed for the session and follow a sequence of developing techniques, the result being a beautiful sampler that can inspire future work.
Pre-requisites: students need to have taken the Introduction to Tapestry class or have similar class or practice experience.
Students Supply: a frame loom warped at 7-9 ends per inch with an 5-inch weaving width. Looms should not exceed 20 inches wide and should be able to be placed on a table top.
