Introduction
Join Robert Carsten, PSA-mp, IAPS-mc for a fun and educational pastel workshop emphasizing skies as a dominant element in our landscapes. This workshop will explore the luminous and varied qualities of sky and clouds, perspective and more. John Constable and Eugene Boudin are but two artists who were greatly inspired to look skyward. Working from photos, we'll explore color temperatures of skies at various times of day from dawn to sunset and moonlit night. We'll practice cloud lighting — underlit, sidelit, backlit and gray-day using a low (or no) horizon. Demonstrations, helpful critiques, cloud painting exercises as well as lots of painting time to create our skyscape masterpieces! All levels welcome from beginner through advanced.
