Introduction
In this 2-day workshop, students will learn how to dye yarn and silks using foraged and local dye plants and powdered natural dyes. An indigo dye vat will also be prepared. Fall colors abound in this wonderful, seasonal course!
Students will also learn how to prepare yarn for dyeing. Scouring, mordanting and dye preparations will all be covered.
After taking this class, you will never look at flowers without wondering, "can I dye wool with that?!"
