Interested in learning how to draw but not sure where to start? Or maybe you have the basic skills but need a refresher on technique? This course introduces beginner-intermediate level students to the fundamental foundations of drawing. Did you know that the earliest drawings date back to 30,000 to 10,000 B.C to caves in France and Spain? Drawing preceded writing as the most direct form of communication. It is one of the oldest forms of human expression. In this course, students will use graphite, charcoal and ink to explore line, tone, plane, and perspective. Students will learn to become attune with hand-to-eye coordination while learning how to represent objects accurately and proportionally. Each session will take place in our historic Bunk House Studio. Students will be given hands on demonstrations, as well as have time for one on one consultation as they develop personal goals and play with creative concepts in drawing.
