Dear Students & Faculty,
As the coronavirus - COVID-19 - continues to spread and concerns of infection increase, it is prudent to address any potential issues head-on. We want our students and instructors to feel assured that we are acknowledging the issue and are taking reasonable measures to ensure your safety.
At this time, we are not planning to cancel any courses or programming, but we will continue to assess the situation as things develop.
Please know that we have begun taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of germs. We are sanitizing commonly touched surfaces (doorknobs, phones, computer keyboards, etc.) throughout the day. We also strongly encourage all students, staff, teachers, and visitors to wash their hands frequently and thoroughly. We are adopting recommendations from the CDC and the guidelines that have been suggested for Vermont schools:

During this time, and until further notice, if you are not feeling well, we ask that you discontinue your enrollment in your course. If you must cancel due to illness, we will give you course credit, and help you make arrangements for re-enrollment in a future course, when your illness has passed. If you start to feel ill during your course, please notify a staff person immediately so that we can take proper precautions.
Thank you for your commitment to making our artist community a more safe and mindful space. Please let us know if you have any questions, or concerns. For future updates and cancellation information, please check the "Announcements" section of our website.
We look forward to seeing you,
Claire, Jeff, and all the SCS staff.
